Crane Origami od 堀越真希子

In Japan, the proverb "Cranes live for 1000 years, turtles live for 10,000 years" brings good luck.

People used to place pictures and artifacts of cranes and turtles, but nowadays this is not a common sight.

An origami of a crane and turtle has been made, with patterns on the folds, making it a more modern design for modern homes.

日本には「鶴は千年、亀は万年」という縁起の良い言葉があります。
昔、縁起物の鶴亀の絵や置物を飾る家が多かったが、現代ではとても少なくなってしまった。
そこで、折り紙で折った鶴亀の折り目に模様を描き、現代の部屋にも気軽に飾れるようなデザインにしました。

When I was 11 years old, a father of my friend recommended my illustration, and was chosen for the package design for an ice cream product. The ice cream package with my illustration was placed on the shelves, and when I saw families smiling as they placed the ice cream packages into their basket, I realized what I wanted to do - I wanted to design things that would make people smile.

11歳の頃、友人の父親に勧められて描いたイラストが、アイスクリームのパッケージイラストに採用されました。アイスクリームが店頭に並び、私の描いたイラストを手に取り微笑んでカゴに入れるお客さんを見た時、「私のデザインを見た人が、ちょっとでも笑顔になれるものを作ろう」と将来の夢を決めました。
